Embassy’s flagship Corporate Connect program was launched in 2016 with a vision to rekindle the spirit of collaboration among like-minded corporates and channel social investments on projects which are scalable, measurable and impactful.

Through the program, corporates implementing similar CSR programs in silos come together to identify the larger social issues and arrive at a collaborative solution to address it sustainably. By adopting the Corporate Connect model, corporates can increase their ability to impact a higher number of geographies and beneficiaries by converging goals with another corporate undertaking impactful initiatives in areas different from their own.

The two adjacent schools jointly house more than 2,010 students – the first phase of the project was the completed in May 2019 with the Government Higher Primary School, Hegdenagar receiving a state-of-the-art school building comprising of 15 new classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, library, a computer lab, toilet blocks and accessibility facilities for differently abled students. The second phase of the multi-year partnership kicked off in October 2019 with the new build of the Government Urdu Higher Primary School. The project was handed over in December 2020. Since then, admissions have almost doubled, leading the partnership into its next project at Government Model Primary School, Thanisandra. The partnership will provide infrastructure upgrades, new toilet blocks and new classrooms for over 1000 students. 7 classrooms and a new toilet block have been constructed, while the third phase to provide 12 new classrooms has commenced.

"Working with Embassy, you are working with a specialist that has done this before. The fact that they managed to bring [the new school building] up in 9 months is a testimonial that the partnership works. What really tilted the balance for us is that Embassy not only constructs, but their values align strongly with our purpose – to shape a world where people and communities thrive. Not only does Embassy help build infrastructure, but it is also a very active participant in maintaining it after that."

They handed out gifts in a fun afternoon to celebrate the festive season. The event consisted of fun and exciting games and activities, which engaged both the employee volunteers and the students.

"Last year, we moved our office to a new campus to Poojanhalli village in North Bangalore. With support from Embassy, we were able to quickly connect with the local Panchayat to identify the kind of enhancements we could provide through our CSR efforts. It was apparent that the local Government Primary school needed help as the building and associated learning environment was just not up to the mark. Embassy Group supported us with their expertise in building as we embarked on our vision to build a model school. We are glad to say that the new building was handed over in February and seeing the joy on the faces of the children was all we needed as a true validation of our joint efforts. We hope to continue nurturing it in various ways for years to come."
